- Anterior Superior Iliac Spine (ASIS)
- Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine Avulsion (AIIS)
- Acetabulum
- Labrum
- Pectineal Line
- Pubic Symphysis
- Femoral Head
- Femoral Neck
- Inter-trochanteric Line
- Greater Trochanter
- Lesser Trochanter
- Palpate the ASIS (1) first.
- Move 4 finger widths distal to ASIS (1) to the anterior hip joint.
- Note the femoral head (7) and femoral neck (8).
- The inter-trochanteric line (9) indicates the capsular attachment of the iliofemoral ligament (next slide).
