Anterior Hip

  • Patient Position:

    • Leg straight
      • Vascular structures are located approximately 2.0-3.0 cm anterior medial
    • Leg externally rotated
      • Vascular structures are located approximately 2.5-3.5 cm anterior lateral

  • Transducer Position:

    • Not perfectly sagittal or midline
    • It is sagittal oblique
    • Proximal portion of the image is typically on the left side of the screen
