- The infraspinatus tendon originates at the main body of the scapula and extends out laterally.
- The myotendinous junction occurs at about the level of the glenohumeral joint and the tendon continues on laterally to attach to the posterior part of the middle facet of the greater tuberosity.
- Internal/external rotation of the arm moves the muscle and tendon lateral-medial.
