Participants are expected to be familiar with the eFAST examination, limited point-of-care echocardiography, and the components of the RUSH examination. 

Dr. Arun Nagdev will provide a comprehensive overview of how ultrasound guidance may be implemented into emergency medicine to increase procedural success and reduce error. From common procedures such as vascular access to those performed less frequently, ultrasound-guidance allows the clinician the ability to navigate anatomical variance to ensure efficient and optimal patient care.

The new definition of sepsis (aka "Sepsis 3.0") as well as Center for Medicare Services sepsis bundle have been unveiled. Dr. Russ Horowitz is the Director, Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. This webinar will allow the learner to use point-of-care ultrasound to search for and diagnosis three (3) abdominal pathologies common in pediatrics: intussusception, appendicitis, and pyloric stenosis.
